Customer Story: Scottish Courts
Scottish Courts pay jurors in hours not weeks, thanks to Payit™.
Paper and cheques snarling the system
The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (SCTS) provides administrative support to Scottish courts and tribunals and to the judiciary.
Processing expense claims previously involved a paper form from the juror to the court. The court would then issue a cheque to settle the claim. With this process being delegated to each individual court, it was slow, labour intensive and lacked efficiency.
SCTS wanted to improve the quality of the service to jurors, whilst also working in a more efficient and cost-effective way. Enter… Payit.
Payit delivered speed and simplicity to Scottish Courts
With Payit…

Outcome
A swift and secure solution
Payit allows expense payments to be made quickly and securely to jurors, without requiring staff to handle bank account information or manually set up payments. There are around 200 claims a week being processed through Payit, which can be bulk uploaded at the end of each day. Most jurors can claim their funds quickly, with 90% of expense claims issued through Payit within two days of receipt. Receiving money straight into their bank account within a few hours of using the payment link makes our jurors very happy.
