Customer story: CMS
Payit™ helps international law firm CMS collect charity donations in innovative new way.
Reusable Link transforming the fundraising process
With more than 70 offices in over 40 countries and over 5,000 lawyers around the world, CMS is a big name in the field of legal services. In 2023, CMS chose NatWest’s open banking payments solution Payit to collect charity donations from its employees as part of its social impact programme. In doing so, CMS is the first business to adopt Payit’s Reusable Link technology.
This means payments can be now collected from multiple accounts using just one link per charity, without the donors having to input their card or bank account details. Choosing this option has enabled CMS to collect charity payments from its employees at lower cost and with a reduced administrative burden compared with cash and card payments.
How did Payit help CMS?
By choosing Payit and its Reusable Links technology, CMS has been able to:
Support for charities
Enable employees to support their charity of choice with just a couple of clicks.
Reduced administration
Reduce the administrative burden – no more cash or card payments and individual payment references to deal with.
Speed of payments
Collect and send its employees’ donations where they’re needed faster.
You will need to sign up to Payit terms and conditions and you may need to hold an account with us. Your business must be based and trading in the UK with a turnover above £2M. You must be 18 years or older. Fees apply. Speak to a NatWest Relationship Manager (where relevant) for further information, or request a call back.
Outcome
Reusable Link from Payit enables CMS to collect donations directly from its employees’ bank accounts, and as there’s only one link per charity, it’s much easier to keep on top of referencing for the various charities it supports. It’s a simple, secure process for everyone involved – CMS, its employees and its chosen charities – with minimal IT setup and integration. CMS’s employees are now just a few clicks away from supporting the vital work carried out by the firm’s chosen charities.
